Have we got something really, really different for you. Our Folding Footboard Bench is so cute I’d forgive you if you forget just looking at it how useful it is – so let me tell you. For starters, the Folding Footboard Bench is out of your way when it’s not needed. When you want it, it is up and working in an instant. It’s a dressing bench to lay your clothes on. It is a trunk top which you can pull your bedding overflow onto. It’s also a great place to sit when you don’t want your spread all messed up — kids! Keep extra pillows on it. Really, use it for just about anything. Haven’t tried the TV and DVD player yet, but why not. Shown in Dark Chocolate. Available in all sizes and matching finishes.

The Footboard Panel is a wonderful Night and Day Furniture innovation, and practically essential if you are using drawer storage underneath a bed. The panel gives the foot of your bed a clean and finished look, hiding the side of the drawers from view.

Add the optional Footboard Panel to the foot of your bed, for the perfect storage ensemble. Don’t forget you can put drawers on both sides of your bed for additional storage! Optional Rolling Bucket Drawers add deep storage to our Ginger Captain’s Bed. These space-savers fit twin or full-size Captain’s Beds. Access the drawers from either side of a twin-size bed for extra convenience. Packed two drawers per box.

The inspiration for the Andrea Collection is the era of the first luxury liners crossing the oceans for the purposes of leisure travel. This is the era not of the sleek Art Deco style Normandy, but of the magnificent liners that started the trend in leisure travel; those of the White Star and Canard lines, the Aquitnania and the Coronia. The furniture was clean lined and elegant but not yet Art Deco, however some of those elements are just starting to show in the designs for Andrea.

Each of the beds have a wrap around aspect to them, which came from the practical way the beds on board were built to nestle around the sleeping traveler preventing a fall in the case of choppy seas. Most of the travelers of the day were accustomed to if not His & Hers bedrooms at least separate dressing rooms. The Serpentine dresser is a nod to that division of space and task, with 2 sets of large drawers divided by a center bowed section of smaller ones.
